...hired High Drama Productions to scout winter-time locations for a reenactment of the story about  injured cross country skier, Charles Horton, who spent nine days stranded in the Rocky Mountain wilderness.  The only problem with this location request is that principal photography had to take place the first week in July.  Finding realistic locations and acquiring the proper National Forest Service permits was not a problem for long time veteran location scout/manager Greg Hughey who, as a member of Routt County Search and Rescue, had participated in the actual mission to rescue Charles Horton.  During production, in addition to location management, High Drama Productions provided sound recording, grip equipment, and services for the three day shoot.  The final presentation “Mysteries of Survival” was broadcast on National Geographic Television.
